The current Jerry's Old Town Inn building has been a restaurant since the 1850's. It started as a Bed and Breakfast years ago, when there used to be a train depot a few doors down.

The train would stop and people would spend the night here. Then it became a full-fledged restaurant that was owned by the Beuschers, Rischmanns, Siegls, Boyungs, Kiefers, Grosenicks and now the Turners.

The area east of this building used to be Firemen's Park. In the 1950's the Fire Department would hold tournaments and an annual picnic one weekend per year. At the picnic there were various events including a carnival, horseback riding, a stage show, live music, Wheel of Fortune, Poker, the Big Six, Bingo, Hoopla, Money Pitch, Chuck-a-Luck, plus the Fire Department's famous hamburgers. Funds to cover the Fire Department's expenses for a full year would be raised during this one weekend of fun.
